Frequently asked questions
Which pictures are good for Base64?
Small icons and logos under about 10 KB. Base64 makes the data about a third bigger and cannot be cached on its own, so big photos are better as normal files.
What is a data URI?
A web address that holds the file itself, such as data:image/png;base64,iVBOR... Browsers show it like a normal picture.
Are my pictures uploaded?
No. They are read in your browser.
