What is the Image Converter (JPG, PNG, WebP)?
Websites, apps and printers each like a different picture format. This converter changes JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and SVG pictures into JPG, PNG or WebP. Transparent areas can get a background colour when you save as JPG, and the quality can be set for JPG and WebP.

Frequently asked questions
Which format should I choose?
JPG for photos that must open everywhere. PNG for logos, screenshots and anything that needs a transparent background. WebP for websites: it is usually 25 to 35% smaller than JPG at the same look.
Why does a transparent PNG get a white background as JPG?
JPG cannot store transparency. The converter fills the transparent parts with a colour (white by default); you can change it.
Are my pictures uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so private photos never leave your device.
Why can I not open my iPhone HEIC photo?
Most browsers cannot read HEIC. Safari can. On the iPhone set Camera, Formats to Most Compatible, or share the photo as JPG.
