What is the Image Compressor?
Big pictures slow down websites and bounce off e-mail size limits. This compressor re-saves your JPG, PNG and WebP pictures at the quality you choose and can shrink very wide ones to a maximum width. If a picture is already as small as it can get, the original is kept instead of making it larger.
How to use it
- Drop your pictures on the box or press Choose images.
- Set the quality (75 is a good start) and, if you like, a maximum width.
- Pick the output: the same format, or WebP / JPG for the smallest files.
- Compare the sizes and download one picture or all of them as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions
What quality should I use?
Around 75 for photos on a website, 85 or more for pictures with text or sharp lines, and 60 for small previews.
Why did my PNG hardly get smaller?
PNG is lossless, so the quality slider cannot shrink it. Save it as WebP or JPG for a big reduction, or set a smaller maximum width.
Will it look worse?
A little data is thrown away, but at quality 75 or above the difference is rarely visible. Keep your originals if you may need them later.
Are my pictures uploaded?
No. The compression runs in your browser and the pictures never leave your device.
