What is the Battery Life, Charging & Battery Report Checker?
Spec sheets show battery capacity in mAh and charger speed in watts, but not how long you can actually use the phone. The first mode turns them into hours of use and a charging time that slows near 100% like a real phone. The second mode reads a battery report from a used or refurbished laptop or phone (Windows battery-report.html, Mac System Information, or the health numbers from an iPhone or Android) and tells you whether the battery is good, only worth buying at a lower price, or better avoided.
How to use it
- For an estimate: enter the battery capacity in mAh, pick what you do on the phone, then the charger wattage and start and end percent.
- For a used device: switch to Check a battery report, then upload the report the seller gives you, paste it, or type the battery health, capacities and cycle count.
- On Windows, run
powercfg /batteryreportin an administrator Command Prompt to createbattery-report.html. - Read the verdict, the battery health bar and the reasons behind it.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get a battery report?
On a Windows laptop run powercfg /batteryreport in an administrator Command Prompt and upload the battery-report.html it creates. On a Mac use System Information, Power. On an iPhone open Settings, Battery, Battery Health & Charging. Many Android phones show Battery health in Settings, Battery.
What battery health is good when buying a used device?
90% or more is close to new. 80 to 90% is normal wear. Between 70 and 80% expect to replace the battery within a year or two, so ask for a lower price. Under 70% the battery is worn out.
Does the number of charge cycles matter?
Yes. Laptop batteries are usually rated for about 1000 cycles and phone batteries for about 500 before they fall to roughly 80%. A high cycle count with good health can still drop quickly.
Is my report uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read in your browser and never leaves your device.
How accurate is the life estimate?
It is an estimate for comparing phones. Real life changes with brightness, signal strength, temperature and the age of the battery.
Why is charging to 100% slower than to 80%?
Phones slow the charging speed on the last stretch to protect the battery, so the final 20% can take as long as the first 80%.
