Story and setting
You play Soul, an elite assassin framed for the murder of the patriarch of his organization, The Order. He has only 66 days left to live, and that countdown gives the hardest difficulty its name. The world is called Wulin, which S-GAME describes as Kungfupunk, a mix of martial arts and steampunk machinery. Kung fu star Donnie Yen is a creative consultant and plays the character Mo Yuan through motion and facial capture, according to the PlayStation Blog as cited by KeenGamer.
How combat works
Combat revolves around Sha-Chi, a shared resource that powers attacks and defense for both players and enemies. Soul carries two primary weapons and two secondary Phantom Edges, and switching blades mid fight restores some Sha-Chi. In practice that means you are rewarded for rotating weapons instead of sitting on one favorite.
Difficulty modes and length
Four difficulty modes: Wayfarer, Pathbreaker, Hellwalker and 66 Days.
Estimated campaign length of 20 to 30 hours.
Eight regions and eight endings.

PC requirements
On PC the game runs on Unreal Engine 5 and supports DLSS 4.5. The studio has published a floor and a ceiling.
Target | Graphics card |
|---|---|
Minimum, 1080p at 30 FPS | GTX 1660 or RX 5500 XT |
Full path tracing, 4K at 60 FPS | RTX 5080 |
If you are on a mid range card, expect something between those two lines, but wait for real benchmarks before buying on day one.
What we still do not know
